Fitting things together

I am slowly but steadily heading for the finishing stages of this now.  I always find the last bit harder than the first stages; maybe that's because I start by happily making lots of separate bits but now I have to fit them together.  I have a few blocks and will make a few more, but this time with a bit of an eye to size instead of just doing what I feel like.   Right now I'm working on the bottom right hand corner, then I just need a slim piece to run down that side and I'll have got to my 60" square.

This does look like it would be a harder step.:)

Beautiful work, you are tenacious. That's the challenge, to hold onto your vision in the middle of getting it all to cooperate.

I've been enjoying your progress on these blocks. I enjoy this kind of patchwork but haven't done much of it. I'm learning by watching you--Thanks!

Yes you're definitely on the home stretch now!

It does get tricky when the pieces need a specific size. This quilt looks so good. I love the value range you used - and the colors. Beautiful!

It looks like it is going to be a really great quilt Kaja! This last fitting together part is the stage I would find the most difficult.

I picked my AHIQ shape - wedges!

yep, components are fun to make, then the puzzle portion of the making begins. Looking very interesting as it goes together. LeeAnna
