How high the moon

It felt a bit like cheating to use this quilt for more than one post, but on reflection I decided that since I had spent a solid 5 months of work on it, it could jolly well earn its keep.

So here it is nearly finished...

and in the quilting hoop.

I promise to post the finished top next time!

What an incredible quilt! Love the close up shot of your quilting in progress, Kaja. This is going to be beautiful - such a labour of love!

This is such a fun bright quilt, and since it took that long, it certainly deserves more than one post. Your quilting is lovely. How long does it normally take you to quilt something this size?

Very pretty. Can't wait to see the finish! Is that daydream fabric in the hoop?

I like that hand quilting! I used to hand quilt every quilt but started to like the effects of machine work. Now I am nervous to over use my hand and hurt it, since I love hand piecing so much! I want to start including a bit of hand quilting on my mostly machine quilted work so thanks for reminding me Kaja. LeeAnna
