I've reached the bottom but not the far side

I am back to sewing after an unexpected break, caused by events outside my control.  I am keen now to push on a bit with this one, not because I'm in a big hurry per se but just to help me regain some momentum before Christmas looms and I lose it all again.
This picture seems a bit blurry and I'm not sure why, but you get the gist of things anyway.  I know from the comments that the pink strips are not always equally easy to see, but they show up much better in real life.  I think once I get the whole top pieced and take pictures on the washing line (always seems to get the best light) then they will be clearer.

I think this is full length now but I am planning to take the width over past those little red squares you can see in the top right corner.  As always, fabric shortage becomes an issue at this point.  I have loads of blue shirting, so that's not a problem but am down to the last scraps of the dark blue.  That's a shame, but I am continue to break up the diagonals here and there and to try, randomly, a range of alternatives.  So far I think I am getting away with it!

You have made some wonderful progress. Maybe you will have to go digging to try and find another dark blue fabric otherwise sprinkling the remaining fabric sounds like a plan. I do like the large pink squares every once in a while.

Welcome back, I hope all is well. The pink stripes are fun to look for, honestly - I really like the way they enhance the other piecing work.

It is a lovely quilt, Kaja. Too bad about the darks running out. That frequently happens to me so I empathize. Like you, this is when I start trying to make stories. What if the dark "fades out" as it moves to the right side and gets lighter. It might fade into mush but that might be okay since it's not the whole quilt. Or it could become a "dotted line." Your solution will be much better and we'll all be delighted you ran out of fabric.

Your quilt is getting filled out nicely. It looks like it's going to be a good size. Are your floor tiles 10"?
Ann has an interesting idea, fade outs are great options.

Love the way this is coming together... this organic process (I call it semi-structured improv) is soooo much fun to work with. Can't wait to see the solutions you come up with for the dwindling dark blue fabric issue. Thanks so much for sharing your process!

That is a very nice size quilt. The pink stripes actually grabbed my attention, I think they are nice anchor points in the quilt.

Perhaps it is not so bad that the dark is running out. So it has a total different outlook. The interrupted dark shapes make it look a bit fuzzy. My first thought was : an impressionistic painting for example Monet`s water lilies. I like it.

I think it's possible that working with limitations gives quilters like you a chance to make an even more fabulous quilt than you would have with your toolbox/supplies completely full. I am always in awe of how you work out the problems and make it look like that was you plan all along.:)

Loving how your quilt is progressing. Lately, I found that unequal proportions of value changes seems to create more interest, so running out of the dark blue is maybe ok, yes?

I have now scrolled my way through posts and finally reached yours Kaja. It has grown in length I think since last I read a post but quilts in the making are rather like Topsy - they just grow and grow!
