Nearly there.
I have pinwheels on three sides now and definitely don't have enough for the fourth.
I do have a couple of the smaller pinwheels that I found lurking in the bottom of the box and some scrappy bits and pieces. After the weekend I'm going to have a play and see if I have the makings of something to go down the 4th side, though actually I like how it looks now, so it's fine if I can cobble something together and fine if I can't.
Linking up today with NinaMarie for Off the Wall.

Looking nicely balanced as is.
I really love the addition of those pinwheels. Your top looks great!
this is beautiful--I love the soft look to it and the pinwheels add just the right element...hugs, Julierose
It looks great!!
I like the way it looks, too. :)
What a fun quilt!
Thank you so much for sharing your process as well as the amazing quilt top.
Aloha,
Hunter
Actually, why does it "need" something on that fourth side (unless you need it a bit wider). I like it the way it is now.
Assymetrical or symmetrical? I think it's a mood statement.
I will be back to see which way the wind blew.
Thanks for sharing the adventure.
I like how it is now.
It looks awesome as it is!! I love the way you just found some extra pinwheels..
I agree with Rachaeldaisy, perfect as it is now. So pleased you added those pinwheels just on the three sides!
I like it the way it is too . I would be inclined to add those last pinwheels in the backing
I think it is well balanced even without this fourth side.
They do add a lovely finish and what if you had them on the bottom edge and both sides and left the upper edge pin wheel free? That could work though it's looking fine as it is!
OOOH, I loe the scrappy wonder of it all! Border no border it is a very fun quilt to look at!
It's looking great!
I love quilts that just become what they are. I love this one just as you show it.
I forgot to take a picture this weekend of that quilt I told you about. I will do that at lunchtime today and email it to you. The quilt top looks wonderful! That is a lot of pinwheels!
It looks great as is, Kaja! I should mention that leaving that one side alone would drive my symmetrical brain crazy :)

I had no idea how you would eventually extend this quilt to make it larger, but it's even better than I expected. Love those pinwheels.:) There's just something about this quilt that makes me love it better every time I see it.
