Not too far to go

Again, not much to say about this, except that it's growing.
The dark blue bits on the left look a bit heavy, but they'll slim down once they're stitched into place. Suddenly it feels like there's not too far to go.

I do like the way you have the little ladders and darker strippies in three sections --carries your eyes all around the piece--this is coming together very well..hugs, Julierose

It's magical how seam allowances shift the balance of color. You are very close!

I think this is superb. And yes, seam allowances can make huge changes. It constantly amazes me how many wonderful quilts are coming from this difficult challenge. I'm humbled how many quilters dug into it. Like yours.
Love the way it looks like a map and yet is imaginary. Grounded, not fanciful. Could be town or country. Ah, there's a name.

Looks like a community I would like to live in. Calm and vibrant.

Looks great! I feel the same way - not to much farther to go> I have been working on rehabbing that double wedding ring quilt and I am on the last row of five rings. I have 11 melons to take apart, recut, and sew back together, join the melons together, and then I can finish sewing the top together. I am excited that I am so close to getting on with this quilt and do the free motion quilting.

Good progress, and you're feeling like you're almost done here.
That's the challenge getting the loose ends cooperating and all tucked in.
