A whole lot of shuffling going on.

I still like the dark blue, which is a relief.  Right now I'm doing quite a lot of laying things out on the floor, like this...
to try and figure out where I want to use the dark stripes and where I want to stick with the pale ones.  Occasionally when I like something I'm pinning bits together, so that I don't forget next time I get them out and every so often I am biting the bullet and sewing.
I'm still trying to avoid letting everything get too 'block-y' and this sort of placement creates little gaps to fill, which I hope will help with that.  Partial seams help too (and seem to have become a habit now).

I really like the direction this map is taking. The addition of the dark strips has really added something unexpected to this piece.

The pops of dark enhance the design. Sometimes it works best to not overthink.

I sometimes think you are the master of 'shuffling'! The dark blue is working very well!

You're getting good results with your shuffling.
I agree with Nann, overthinking clouds creativity.
It's like muddyied water, you can't find what you're looking for.
Let it rest then you can see where the fish are.

This looks so good! I like the ladder strip with the dark blue; it adds a nice contrast.

I like that your dark floor tile is almost a good stand in for auditioning the dark blue bits.

The dark blue strip adds a whole new wonderful dimension, doesn't it. You are the queen of shuffling....love it! Keep on shuffling along. =)
