Ticking over

It was the hourglasses turn today, and I've made some good progress.  It is now the desired rectangle shape (not as long and skinny as in the pic - that's just the camera angle).

Next up is a skinny border - first bit on already at the top and I'm playing around with the other 3 sides.

After that I'm going to lay out all my leftover bits and see what I can do with them.

That skinny border is going to be a nice frame and way to focus. I look forward to seeing the magic you work with the leftover bits around the edge!

Such cool colors in this quilt. Love the way the light plays across it.

The quilt top is beautiful. It reminds me of dappled sunshine across a wildflower bed

This is so pretty, I love the gentle palette. Those little bits of darker floral on the border are looking good too. Look forward to seeing what's next with your leftover bits!

Interesting how that skinny border is bringing the center into focus better.

I'm loving the bits of purple showing up in this quilt, and that skinny border just seems to highlight the blocks even further.

That is shaping up nicely! The gold with the purple and lavenders looks really good. It has a very peaceful feeling to it.

Oh nice!!!! Love the border already stitched and the one you're auditioning on the right, picks up those little triangle pops in the quilt.

Lovely pastel shades with bursts of golden-yellow. The design created by the fabrics makes me think of cross-hatching. The skinny border is going to frame the colours beautifully.

Once again, you are making it work so well. It is such fun to watch your pieces evolve.

That purple is just stunning with the other colors and the textures. My favorite would be those skinny lines that intersect the quilt, but I love the little bits of gold. The whole top works so very well, as usual.
