More than enough for one Sunday

At the moment I'm spoiled for choice when it comes to slow stitching: I don't have much on the go that doesn't involve sitting with a needle and thread.  So, today, I will be basting the next pile of circles.

Once those are done I'm going to add a bit more to my jacket - I have some pieces pinned in place and keep catching myself on the pins (the jacket is on the back of my sewing chair) so I want to get rid of them before I do some damage.

After that, if there's time, there's quilting to be done.

I love that jacket! It looks just the thing for the warmer weather. We had a big thaw yesterday, and now I can feel spring coming! Too soon for denim, though. :D

Sounds like a great day. Those darn pins can be pesky!

That's funny about the pins because I have a pair of trousers to shorten that have been pinned and on the back of my chair for weeks ...... and I keep catching myself on them!

Not quite the same, but I'm getting a bit fed up of the quilting pins clogging up my hoop! Love the jacket - the colour of the lining is a real surprise :) And of course you had time for some quilting - you're a whizz with the needle!

Haha, I was using quilting pins on my circles and they were driving me crazy! I finally marched myself out to the studio to get some applique pins. Now I'm losing these little stickers in my recliner. I guess I'll eventually find them (ouch!) but they make me nervous. Is it just me or are the applique pins not as pointy? I find that even though I've caught myself with them, they don't hurt or prick quite as much.

Your jacket is really coming along. I love that sleeve cuff. It really add a nice touch of color, but that lime green lining is just happy and bright. Perfect for a gloomy, damp day (like we had today). You will enjoy this project!

You are really talented being able to work on clothing as well as quilting - and a complicated thing like jackets at that.
