Chores on Monday

Once again I am doing the sewing equivalent of housework - which is to say I am turning my facings and tacking them down.  Not, you will notice from the picture, pressing, which they sorely need, but at least I am underway.  The motivation is that I need to add more holes, so feel I must tidy these up first, otherwise the task will grow and grow and I may just lose heart.

I am also quilting as if there's no tomorrow, but no pics of that at the moment.

Linking up with Patchwork Times for Design Wall Monday.

I understand completely what you mean about needing to tidy up the work you have done before doing more. I choose to bury my quilting threads as I go because I think I would be too overwhelmed to do it all at the end (and too in fear of missing many).

I understand also. I have to be careful about trimming threads as I go. It's such a little thing, but if I leave it till the end, what a mess! On a good note, your holes are looking nice and clean.

And the third monkey agrees. Too much un-fun stuff at the end means it will never get done.

Oh yes. Nice to keep up with the must-do parts so you're not overwhelmed.:)

I feel the same way about burying threads when i applique. It would be too overwhelming to have to do them all at once, Plus, they get in the way. Kaja, this way your holes will be nice and strong and hold up under handling and you can experiment without worry.
Hahaha - I just read the comments and am laughing so hard over Ann's. That makes me the fourth monkey. :)
