Fits and Starts

Again a week of snatched moments, but no sustained sewing, and as a result I have lost my rhythm a bit.  I've been adding around the edges of the city quilt...

and this is where I've got to.  I need a bit longer to look at it before I'm sure about where this is going at the moment: when I do things in fits and starts I trust my own judgement less, so it all takes longer, which means I trust my judgement less...Catch 22.

Linking up with NinaMarie for Off the Wall Friday.

You've gotten a good start on the borders! I know what you mean about not having enough time each session to settle into a good train of thought.:)

Looking terrific and the edge design to the left is striking. The fabric mix is delicious and moving more and more to the "inner city" you want. Great job...focus!

That's the biggest problem with working on the kitchen floor: you have to put it all away every 5 minutes, aaargh!!! Still, I find not looking at something for a while can actually make me more decisive when I come back to it with fresh eyes. Do you have a pin board or somewhere you could pin up snapshots of your work in progress - maybe if you have it around you in some way, you won't feel like it's so much fits and starts? I think it's coming together really well and look forward to seeing where you go with it :)
