This one is done now. I added what I thought might be a final row across the bottom, to echo the triangles near the top.
That got me almost, but not quite, to where I wanted to be. It was looking fine but it just wasn't quite as big as I like. I eyed up my (tiny) pile of remaining fabric and figured I could go round just one more time. I didn't do anything fancy, because the more cutting and piecing you do, the less fabric you end up with. Instead I used up my left-over, previously pieced, odds and ends and then just cut wide strips from the remaining shirt fronts. As is often the way, this practical decision pleases me from an aesthetic point of view too.

I love the way you combined colors and pieced shapes in this top. The added dimension of layering and quilting will be the icing on the cake.
What a glorious finished top! Your decisions for that outer round were exactly right!
Lovely finish--the flowery print along the bottom really sets off the rest of the piece I think--congrats on a finished flimsy...;))) hugs, Julierose
It turned out beautifully! What a great picture of it blowing on the line outside, too.
Yes. A very lovely top. Having the last row made from simpler/larger/longer pieces frames it beautifully.
Your fabric choices are excellent. Good luck quilting that denim though. You may need pliers.
The finished result for your quilt top is beautiful, Kaja! Another fabulous quilt top from your fascinating and amazingly creative mind. Have fun with the quilting.
Is it my imagination or did this one get done quickly? I so love your piecing technique. Great picture too.

Yes, another wonderful quilt top! I love the denim & pink combo. And, great that you used up all that fabric, and in such a creative way! I love the last pic, quilts on the line always make me smile :)
Exciting quilt Kaja - I love the dark blues with the peachy pink in this one. Have fun with your quilting! and 'brain settling'!
The fabric lead the way so strongly on this from start to finish. Now that it's pieced, how does the denim add to the overall weight; can you tell much difference?
Thumbs up!
This o e really talks to you. I love it!
I really like the blog and I hope people will have a new blog, thanks for the blog

This one is decidedly 'YOU'. And you seemed super comfortable and in the groove while making this. LOVE the effect of the chunky wedges throughout. This is such a pleasing quilt. Can't wait to see it with quitting texture!
Great decision on the final border! And that clothesline photo is a beauty!
Super finish Kaja.
That border really makes it. I love this one!
