Rusty and indecisive

I am soooo rusty.  No one to blame but myself, of course, but this is going to be a quilt of stops and starts.

I kicked off thinking that maybe I would head towards, if not an actual medallion then something in that neighbourhood. Though this start looks more like Chinese Coins.

So maybe this is a Coin Medallion, if that is a thing.

Maybe this?  I don't have many birds though, so maybe I won't use them all this early in a quilt.   Decisions, decisions.  Medallion?  Coins? Maybe I want another element.  Maybe it's too early to tell.  I shall try very hard to get on with it and not fuss too much.

Coin medallions are a thing but I know you will make something wonderful. Have a good time getting back into the swing of quilting. Best wishes to you and your family this Christmas.

It has to feel good to play with fabric again. The birds as a focus fabric look cool! It may take a little time to get going, but getting going is the hardest part. The rest will fall into place; just give it time and enjoy. I wish you and your family a blessed, safe, and wonderful holiday season!

What a creative start, all those different elements. I'm just always fascinated by what you put together. Hope you're having fun while you're at it.

Coins are one of my favorite go-to designs. Medallions frustrate me more because they tend to be square and I prefer rectangles. You will figure it out - I am not at all worried!

A coin medallion, what an exciting idea Kaja, no doubt you will add and take away which I find so interesting and enjoyable to see. Love the birds!
