Things are finally calming down here and there's a bit more sewing time on the horizon, though of course there's Christmas too...
I've levelled off underneath the second lighthouse and moved onto the next section. For quite a while I have been plonking the third lighthouse somewhere over on the right hand side when I laid things out, but could never find a spot where I felt completely happy with it, so I'm trying it out on the left instead.
Other than that it's just a question of keeping on keeping on, though it is encouraging to see this start growing again.

I do like the third lighthouse shifted to the left. It gives the quilt a sense of a shoreline on the left hand side...
I like it on the left! The space on the right balances the other 3 elements. cheers!
Oh, I like the idea of shoreline. Room for fog or rain coming in somewhere. I can see setting it to the right makes a diagonal that doesn't work well here.
How nice to have your paid work winding down for the holiday.
I am happy for you that things are settling down. The position of the third lighthouse looks good. A shoreline, single lines representing birds in the air, could be things quilted in just to give a hint. Meanwhile life at my house is a wreck with the house all torn apart with refinishing the floors. Ugh!
Good call to move it left - I like the way it feels!!
This is looking so good! It has nice balance to it now. Wow, that is a lot of blue & white HSTs!
I agree with the others, swing to the left.
Keeping on, that made me think of Alan Bennett, keeping on keeping on
Lots of progress! The left is great. Isn't it funny how sometimes the thing we think will work and be balanced isn't actually what plays out? But instead, the opposite works well, like this situation?
I have no opinion on the location of your new lighthouse, but what about the ships storming along in those waves? Caroline
I'm glad to hear you have some calm. Nice progress.
We had a full house of grandkids for about a week, lots
of drama and fun. They had to go back home to the east
coast. It's quieter but I miss their dear little voices.
Christmas is coming.
I like the left position as well. My week blew up in my face......and it may continue till the end of Dec......
It's good to have some positive progress, especially during this season! I'm not sure what color it is {gold, dark tan?}, but whatever color it is, I love how those random triangles glow against the lighter colored white triangles!
I can almost hear the sound of breaking waves. Yes, the third lighthouse belongs there!
I'm sure you've said before, but are those 30 cm tiles on the floor? I only ask because I like the lighthouse on the left, and it seems like the quilt is going to get a lot bigger!
This is looking great - I love the choppy sea!
