Today I'm catching up with my denim. It has been a bit neglected for the last week or two: I am getting to a point with my unblogged quilt where I can sense the end, so have been hand quilting fit to bust. Not there yet, of course; these things always take longer than you think. Anyway, I've got another wee chunk of this done and hopefully time for a bit more too.

I love the hand sewing on the denim! My sewing machines died, and I haven't replaced them yet, but I am getting interested again in embroidery, or hand sewing. I love SLOW SEWING! hugs~
Oh how lovely--is the denim hard to "needle" through??? I wish i had kept my old denims--now all i have are the stretchy ones (do i have to tell you why??? hahaha) hugs, Julierose

This is looking better and better with every stitch Kaja! I just love it. The effect you have from the subtle variations in the faded and worn denim is beautiful and your stitching harmonises across the whole perfectly. Can't wait to see the unblogged quilting either!

I have an old free pieced denim quilt like this. It's a UFO. Can you tell me if you are using batting and backing on this? And the same questions as the others, is it hard to needle through?
