Saturday photos #35

I know I said I was done gallivanting around for the summer, but last Sunday was glorious and a quick trip to Calke Abbey (already the subject of at least a couple of these posts here  and here) seemed in order.

The wildflower border was new and spectacular.

  1. Wow, it looks like such a beautiful place. The wild flower border along the brick wall is gorgeous. It reminds me of a place I used to love as a child, Waltham Abbey - wonderful walled gardens there. And King Harold is buried there too :)

  3. Ohh, beautiful flowers! That overhead woven vine thingy is different and very interesting. I'd really like to see the whole thing just to figure it out, but I'm going to simply appreciate your photo collage. And go back to the beautiful wild flowers.
