More strings.
Since I'm not entirely decided where I'm going with this project yet (more musing on this here, on the AHIQ blog) I have decided I will just keep making these until I get bored and then tackle the tulips. Of course this won't take long, given my low boredom threshold but I reckon I've got at least another couple of string-making sessions in me before I need a change.
I have finally made a decision - will post about it on my blog on Wednesday. I love the look of your blocks!
ReplyDeleteNeat blocks: I have a grand total of 4 made to date. :000
ReplyDeleteI cannot get a handle on how I want mine to "look". I keep thinking ahead to the "tulip phase"--and what color do I want those to be? Decisions decisions--not my strong suit...hugs, julierose
The blue center strings make an interesting pattern across these blocks. And I like that some are different blues. Interpret the ideas in your own way will be so much more fun. I will watch with great interest.
ReplyDeleteOH I like that so much!! So fun!!!!! Are you piecing on paper or muslin, or nothing? Great effect!!
ReplyDeleteI do like how the strings are coming together, and I was curious about the tulips. Something tells me I'll learn about them soon enough! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat string progress. I suspect throwing in a tulip or two will change things up a lot! Looking forward to your next post...
ReplyDeleteLovely and interesting Great Job!
ReplyDeleteYou're certainly racing along with these blocks Kaja, I was intending spending time on mine yesterday but the day had ended before I realised! These string blocks are great fun to make,I like the way your reds really stand out .
ReplyDeleteI like the red accents! You have gotten a lot of blocks made!
ReplyDeleteI do love how you are keeping yourself from boredom. Pretty string blocks!
