Up and down and up and down

I have been playing around with my dark blue squares, seeing what happens if I send them in different directions.
I quite liked this, but for the moment have gone back to working through the orginal plan, building out the top right hand part.  As I work down from here, those blues may go down again, or they may keep going up.
Piecing is a bit easier now as I have reached a straight edge across the bottom, so I'm going to make one more big piece and then join them, instead of dragging the whole thing to the machine every time I need to add a couple of squares.

  1. This one is really coming along so well...you have the patience of a saint, arranging and re-arranging...but your results are lovely...

  6. Setting the length will help you fill in the rest. These colors and values work so well together now. Keep going!

  8. What length is it? It looks very long in the photo, maybe queen size?
    Just curious about the plan.

  10. So, I'm catching up (as usual) and have to say that the pink strips were quite visible in the last post. I do like them. In this post though, they really don't stand out at all. I think I'd add a few going side-to-side but it's possible that you have and I just don't see them. There's so much to look at and enjoy in this top. You've taken Trip Around the World to a new level.

  11. Love the blue and pink in varying soft and dark tones and all that scrappy goodness ! The off set pattern makes it way more interesting than if it were centered! cheers!
