This is very much an aside, in quilting terms. I cut a few squares, sew a seam here and there. Nothing is going to happen quickly, but that's fine. I don't know how long I will keep making these little units before I get bored and need to add something else, but for now they are a great way of using up odd little bits of shirting (I'm cutting 3" squares).
Isn't it amazing how much can be accomplished with small amounts of time, repeated?
ReplyDeleteLove these!
ReplyDeleteInteresting! Very interesting!
ReplyDeleteYour tiny butterflies look suspiciously like Liberty Lawn fabrics. Whether they are, or not, I like these!
ReplyDeleteI really like the look!
ReplyDeleteThese blocks make me happy!
ReplyDeleteYum. I like this soft butterflies on the blues. So much prettier than on white. I think they'd make a nice border on something... Good for you for getting the "Parts Department" built up. And thanks for joining the Kaleidoscope of Butterflies.
ReplyDeletePretty! I love to see your projects grow and I am always amazed by your improv. approach.

Great way to use up those bits. After you make units for awhile you will figure out where they go!
ReplyDeleteThey are so sweet, Kaja. Eventually they'll tell you where they want to go. :D
ReplyDeleteI love your calico butterflies. I'm going to enjoy seeing what you do with this.
ReplyDeleteI love these little wisps of floral amidst the shirtings. You've inspired me to try some myself! Thank you.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the inspiration.
