This is just a quick update; I haven't got a lot to say really. I have filled in the gap across the top now and am making new bits and pieces so that I can add to the bottom (and may the top too). This is what it looks like now.
I am pretty happy with it but will like it better once it is no longer wider than it is long. I realise it looks not too far off square in this photo, but that's a trick of the camera.
I'll link up with Patchwork Times for Design Wall Monday.
It's starting to look like you had plan!
ReplyDeleteWow, this looks amazing! Is it really all improve? It's a really neat variation on a NY Beauty, and I love it.
ReplyDeleteOh, it looks great and I look forward to seeing how it continues to grow. Do you have enough scraps and fabrics to get where you want to go size wise?
ReplyDeleteThat is absolutely beautiful!! I love the scrappy feel of it even though the fabrics all match up. It's fantastic.
ReplyDeleteI just keep looking and looking at it! It is so fun to watch you grow a quilt!
ReplyDeleteIt's looking amazing!!! I love it!
ReplyDeleteJust realized. This looks like a parterre. What a lovely design.
ReplyDeleteI love how it looks like it is floating in space, like a space station or satellite. Although there are a lot of "moving parts", the overall effect, at least for me, is serene yet immensely interesting.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Kaja - you must be so pleased with this beauty.
ReplyDeleteIt's looking great :)
ReplyDeleteThere are so many things to look at! I know I've told you that this quilt has me fascinated but now that all the holes are filled and it's looking more like a completed top, it is really interesting and fun. I have a feeling that it will be one of those quilts that will keep a viewer busy for quite some time. I can barely wait to see it with your beautiful stitches added in.
ReplyDeleteYou have made a lot of progress! It looks great!
ReplyDeleteIt looks as if it should be a flag, flying high and proud!
ReplyDeleteAre you sure you don't have a plan taped to the back of the kitchen door ?? I think I love this so much because the blues all meld together so well but every now and again there's a pop of red or white
ReplyDeleteIt's looking great, Kaja!

The phrase 4 corners of the earth comes to mind 😊 looking great... What's wrong with a landscape layout?! Are you thinking about the shape of a bed? X
ReplyDeleteLove how you made (3) different quilts of Quilty Circles. Love the 3rd one best, beautiful colors. Glad you shared your designs with us.
