Done for now

And just like that, it turns out this top is finished.  I thought I was going round again, or maybe adding more of the solid gold, but when I laid it out and looked at it today I thought again.  I think I'm happy with it just how it is.
This is the first quilt I have made where every single last scrap of it was shirt.  No additions of any kind.

  1. Congratulations; it looks great! And I love that you were able to use every last scrap of the shirts to make it. I also appreciate how smoothly this one went compared to the last quilt top. :)

  6. Beautiful! I love it that you are attuned to knowing when the quilt says this is it.

  7. A wonderful finish Kaja! The last borders really work so well. Amazing way to use up those shirts! I read your extra post too over on AHIQ about flipping fabrics over, to get that "tastefully understated" look... something I must remember in the future.

  11. This is wonderful Kaja. I really like the blunt triangles. I recently went to a thrift shop and they had shirts at a great price so now I have a bunch of shirts too.

  12. Stunning! An absolute knockout! I was surprised because I didn't realize the pieced sections were as big as they are.
