A bit more progress. I'm piecing the wedges and bird names into chunks, but not joining too much together yet. As things stand the curve on the left is going to be quite tight, so I'll have to think about what happens over there, but I still like it.
And here's a first go at the other element of this. I like these too.
Now those are my kind of geese! Love the free form.
ReplyDeleteOh, I really like the colors and how both elements are coming together!
ReplyDeleteLove the golds and blues so I really like the oystercatcher plaid that incorporates all of them. The navy with bird feet adds needed contrast. Great designs so far!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see how these two elements come together.
ReplyDeleteThe navy with what Ann calls bird feet, really adds a lot movement. Curious how you will put it all together......
ReplyDeleteNice improv geese blocks Kaja, can't wait to see how these go together!
ReplyDeleteVery fun looking! I love the bits of dark blue with the golds.:)
ReplyDeleteMmm lovely fabrics! Looks like a great quilt is taking shape
ReplyDeleteLove these pieces. Especially the plaid geese. Ann calls it oystercatcher plaid. I have never heard that name for a plaid. But that plaid definitely did draw my eye.
ReplyDeleteOh now I see!! Silly me . . . you put the name on the curved piece.
DeleteReally like your non-traditional flying geese -- cool shape! Loving the colors in this project.
ReplyDeletevery nice...great job
ReplyDeleteLove these colors Kaja, and you have found two elements which go so good together. So different but so harmonic because of the colors. Wow!
ReplyDeleteI like the flying geese blocks very much! I can see that there might be some odd shaped pieces to join the elements together. I love the color story and will be watching how this develops.
ReplyDeleteI love the freeform! It's a lot like sculpting in clay isn't it! So fun!
ReplyDeleteJust love these bits and pieces and colors.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the freeform geese!
