Cape Palliser

Cape Palliser, New Zealand.

I have definitely hit a rhythm with these now - each one seems to take shape much faster than the first few did. One more to go for now, though my list of lighthouses I would like to make gets longer all the time.

  1. Oh I love it!!! This was the first lighthouse I saw in New Zealand and on wild wet day with a southerly coming up - it was still magnificent!

  2. I don't know if you're concentrating on a specific area, but if you need another one, look up Dunkirk NY lighthouse. That one is from my neck of the woods, at Point Gratiot on Lake Erie.

  3. This is a perfect piece of patchwork! Your selection of blue fabrics really show the New Zealand ocean so well
I have never visited Cape Pallliser - perhaps I should.

  6. You've become and expert free-piecer Kaja. It's so much like improv that it was a natural fit.

  8. And I used to think one lighthouse was the same as another! Love how your project is taking shape.
