No fabric, but look at my lovely pincushion! I just won this in a giveaway to celebrate the first year anniversary of LeeAnna's blog, Not Afraid of Color. If you haven't visited it, go have a look, it's one of my favourites; she really isn't afraid of colour and has a great, often quirky, take on things.

How lovely! Though I always prefer them with thousands of pins in so they look like colourful little hedgehogs. :)

ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the win! Such a cute pincushion.I've been wanting to try paper piecing hexies myself (have been seeing them all over lately) and this looks like the perfect type of little project to start with.
It was fun to win something. I reckon it would be a perfect place to start with paper piecing - good luck.

DeleteKaja, I've found that if it has a bit of weight a good pincushion can also serve as a pattern weight so they don't fly while you're working. (I have fans going all over the place because my hot flashes hit like a freight train.) So anyway, this one looks like it could do double duty and how fancy is that? It surely is creative and lucky for you.
ReplyDeleteHey Mary, I tend to have the door into the garden open, which has pretty much the same effect as a load of fans. A pincushion with multiple uses can only be a good thing!
