Revised fabric pull

Ann made a good point on my last post, about having more than one fabric with a different scale in my piles.  With that in mind, and pretty sure I wanted to find some more earth tones, I went back to my boxes.  I've put back (for now at least) some of the greens, specifically a couple of solids and tiny prints, and pulled out some other options.

I have two piles, this one of shirts

and this one, from normal stash.

I've even washed all the yardage, hence the creases!

This feels more like something I can work with, so here goes..

And in the meantime, I'm linking up with Sew, Stitch, Snap, SHARE.

This palette has a really wonderful earthy feeling to it. I look forward to see where the palette and piecing inspiration takes you!

I learn so much from other quilter's fabric pulls and palettes! This is so warm and comfy feeling already.

You put the most interesting stuff together and it all comes together in the end. I guess I should have more confidence in my vision and stick to it. Thanks for lighting the way.

Looks interesting... I love how you go about all these early planning stages. I also wonder, do you have something specific in mind with this fabric pull or will that evolve too?

I am inspired! you wash your yardage!!! just kidding. haha. I am inspired that you do a fabric pull post. I am going to follow your lead and get organized with a pull. I have this haphazard pull with half started bits everywhere. Time to tidy!

Love the colours in this, so many people avoid browns, but I find they often ground a project. Thanks for linking to Sew, Stitch, Snap, SHARE.

Yeah the decisions have been made and now on to the piecing! The color palette is interesting and unusual.

It's fun seeing the progression of the decision making. I'm liking these choices.
