Wider than before

There's not a lot to say about this really, except that it is getting wider!

And on I go!

In the back of my mind I am not thinking about triangles at all now, I am thinking about the next AHIQ challenge, which will be kicking off here next Tuesday.  One thing I can promise you is that it won't involve HSTs.

This continues to become more and more lovely with each addition. It's such an ambitious project.

That was fast! Looks like you are moving quickly toward the finish line.

And I'm looking forward to Tuesday!

I laughed out loud at your comment about HSTs. I bet you've had your fill. I like the quilt as it becomes wider. It gives the quilt more ocean for the lighthouses to protect.

I'm looking forward to seeing what the format/challenge(s) will be this year.

I was so curious how you were going to add hst's onto the side without losing the flow of the quilt. It looks like the slight 'jarring' in the lines of triangles will give a subtle framework. Sort of a border that's not a border. Love it!

Seeing this quilt on the bed changed my perspective so much! I had no idea how substantial it is. Funny how we get a notion of size in our heads and can be completely off. I can see that you are in that mode of barreling on to the finish.

On you go and closer you get to a finished top!

Widening this quilt reminds me of Stephie working on Fete. I'm very impressed with both of you for not trying to "match up" the rows but just letting the HSTs fall where they may. It looks lovely.

You are making great progress on getting this top completed. The width of the HSTs for each side looks just right. You will have this done before you know it!

I love it! It's so interesting with the different sizes and colors that my eyes are traveling all around the top.
Happy sewing,
Judy

I really admire your tenacity as you push toward the finish line. I wonder how you will feel about this quilt once it is completely finished. Will it be an all-time favorite, or one that you are glad you did but are even more glad to be done with? As others have written, I'm looking forward to your new project this coming week!

The new Project Quilting challenge involves triangles. If not HSTs, maybe some other kind of triangle? http://persimondreams.blogspot.com/2018/01/92triangulationchallenge-2-of-project.html
