One big circle and a few crosses

It always feels like a big step when I start joining chunks together but that's where I've got to with this.  I spent a while fiddling about with the centre strip: I knew I wanted that striped fabric but it felt like it needed a bit of interrupting so I tried some options out using little scraps.

In the end I have just added in three little bits of the blue and white stripe that you can see right in the middle.

Then the next little chunk:

When I was cropping the photo (to spare you the sight of shoes, chairs, bags...) I thought "oh, this doesn't look like much".  Fortunately once it's in place I like it more!

And this is where I left it.

You'll have a whole quilt soon. (And no fabric from me...I'm so sorry!) But on a happy note, this one looks like it knows what it wants and it's getting exactly that!

This is remarkable, quite magical - I would to potter round inside your head and see whats going on in there : )
Mind you watching your design process is fascinating, I'm not totally sure if your incredibly talented or basically a masochist! LOLOL

LOL, your idea of "This doesn't look like much" is very different from mine Kaja. It's all coming together so well!

Thanks for all your detailed posts about your decision making process, it is very interesting and instructive to see how you let this develop.

It's interesting to watch this develop and read about your decision-making process. I think these long strips work because you repeated them even as you varied the fabrics used. So interesting.

So lovely Kaja - it's come on leaps and bounds since I last visited. I love the organic way you work.
