Lots to do

Today's slow sewing is like a 'to do' chore list: lots of bits I should have got round to earlier.

First I need to patch these jeans.  Both the pairs I have mended previously are still holding up well, which is encouraging and makes the time spent on the mend seem worthwhile.  I am wondering, though, why it is always my right knee that wears through first.  I patched  my first knee in the spring of 2015 and its corresponding left leg still hasn't developed a hole.  I need to pay more attention to what I am doing when I crawl around on the floor.

Then I need to do some catching up on my 365 circles.  I am a full two weeks behind, and we are nearing the end of the month so I would like to be up-to-date by 30th.  At the moment last week's circles look like this.

Not very impressive!

Finally I want to keep quilting.  I have done 33 out of 49 squares on this.  Not quite enough to be able to say the end is in sight, but enough to make me want to push on.

I am hoping to have a quiet, peaceful stitching day today, so let's see where I can get to with all of this.

A quick reminder too -  Tuesday is AHIQ link up day again.

Enjoy your quilting.... and mending. I like the fabric you have for those circles. Good luck in catching up.

I find that having many projects in front of you is better than having none. I hope that you'll be able to do at least one of this projects. Happy Sunday!

I'm guessing you're right-handed and put your right knee down first. I just patched a pair of old pants for Richard hoping it wouldn't show too much but it's pretty obvious.

I dropped the Quilty 365 project, so this weekend I quilted the top that I'd put together. Don't you know I had a great idea for the circles! lol I may have to pick it back up. Enjoy your projects.

Well, you are past halfway, anyway! It really looks lovely, and that is a great photo!

I made good progress today, so I will definitely be ready for Tuesday!

I'm farther behind than you in my circles, but I did cut out some background squares so I am hoping to see more progress soon. You're making great progress on your quilting.

I hope you had a really peaceful day Kaja. I don't think it'll be long before the end is in sight on your string quilt. I'm really looking forward to seeing the whole thing, the colours look gorgeous - were they just scraps? x

I reckon you have to follow through on what your Creative Gene pushes you towards, that way you know your meant to work on that particular project and stand more chance of enjoying the process : )
That's also my excuse for having several things started and ongoing lol
The jeans well, it could be all that kneeling down repositioning blocks or
more likely you've a nobbly right knee !
LOL

I love patching my jeans with more denim and handstitching - I find mine last for a long time after aswell. Sadly for me it's both knees that nearly always need doing!
