Slowly moving to a finish

This is the last tiny chunk of Two Hungry Birds, waiting to be quilted.

Then it's on to the binding.  This has been causing me some headaches, but I think I've found something I'm happy with now, so hopefully my next hand stitching will be finishing this one off.

I'm also (very, very slowly) making progress with my dress.  Here's a tiny chunk:

As you can see my beading is far from perfect, but hopefully no one will ever look at it this close once it's finished, so as long as it holds up I can overlook the wobbles (and I'm getting better as I go).

Wow, the handwork on the dress is looking so lovely! That's got to feel good being so close to a finish on quilting the "Birds" quilt!

Oh wow, you are so close to finishing up Two Hungry Birds - congratulations! :) The bead work on the dress really adds depth to the color variation there, and I think it is going to be stunning when it is finished up.

I think the work you are doing on your dress is beautiful. Of course you are improving as you go. Enjoy your stitching.

Can't wait to see "Two Hungry Birds" all finished and bound! It really hasn't been that long, though I imagine that you feel differently.
Love the dress. The beads really give it a finished, lovely look. The embroidery is pretty nice, too. They work so well together. I'm sure the dress will be stunning. Do you have an occasion to wear it to? (or did I miss a post?)

Wow!! Beautiful hand stitching on both projects. Your hand quilting stitches are so tiny and perfect. I am happy if mine comes out even :)

Your embroidery is gorgeous Kaja - love the kind of 'open' satin stitch with the pink showing through and your beading looks pretty darn amazing to me! What are you using to mark your quilt lines on Two Hungry Birds? It looks like a really fine line, which would be so much better than the inch think graphite pencil lines I seem to make!!!
